Our Curriculum

Our Pre-School curriculum was created following the publication of the Early Years Foundation Stage 2021, we used this opportunity to think about the knowledge and skills that we wanted our children to develop during their time with us.  We created seven curriculum goals as a team, using our experience and knowledge of our children.  Our curriculum is regularly reviewed to reflect on its impact and updated to reflect our cohort of children, this was most recently done in September 2023.

We have outlined our curriculum in more detail in our overview document:

We have worked hard to ensure our curriculum is carefully sequenced to enable children to progress, this is outlined in our progression document:

All children develop at different rates and in different ways, our team respond to these differences to support all children to makeprogress.   Some children will take longer to develop these skills and may need extra support, others may exceed our expectations and will be further extended.  All children are taught from their individual starting points.  Our curricular goals and overview are not the only experiences our children will have, but provide a framework for what we intend to teach.
